The Seal of Sustainable Viticulture

Fair'n Green

Our wine estate is certified for sustainable viticulture by FAIR’N GREEN, including environmental protection, management and corporate social responsibility. As a corporate model of AmBiTo, a biodiversity project of the German Ministry of the Environment, we work closely with a research team of the University of Geisenheim. A vital, healthy soil is essential to us. As a family business, we think in the long term. The more resistant a plant is, the less protection it needs. That is why we reduce yields to 60% and invest in a lot of manual work in the vineyard during vegetation to maintain the ideal ratio of leaves to grapes and adapt the plants’ performance to the water supply.

Glyphosate and insecticides are 100% banned from our vineyards, as are copper and artificial fertilisers. A green strip between the rows of vines stores nutrients and protects the soil from drying out. Manual work during the year and at harvest guarantees high quality because nothing can replace the experience of a good team.
