Who we are

The Hans Wirsching winery is one of the most traditional and renowned wineries in Franconia. Our family has been growing grapes for several centuries. Currently, Andrea Wirsching and the senior boss Dr. Heinrich Wirsching manage the winery. On 90 hectares in and around Iphofen, we produce mainly dry white wines – that is our speciality. The most important grape varieties are Silvaner, Riesling, Scheurebe and white Burgundy varieties (Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris). About 15% of the wines are red, and we place particular emphasis on Pinot Noir. Our vineyards and soils are the basis for ensuring that future generations will also be able to grow wine successfully in Iphofen. That is why sustainability is the most important goal in all our decisions. Also for our 30 employees, most of whom spend their entire working lives with us.
